A Child's Waiting is working with a birth mother and birth father due 11/15/08 with a bi-racial baby boy. Birth mother and birth father are both supportive of the adoption plan and are placing due to lack of resources. Neither parent has any children. Birth mother has been receiving prenatal care since her third month and is currently receiving Medicaid. Birth parents are looking for an Ohio family ONLY who are wanting an open adoption. The birth parents are wanting to receive letters, pictures, phone calls and visits. Birth parents are looking for at least 2-4 visits a year and to be welcome at special events. Full Hispanic baby boy due-Texas 12/28/08
Birth mother is 21 years old and due on or before 12/28/2008. Birth father, age 22, has already signed a waiver. No drugs or mental health issues. Birth mother placed her last child with a relative due to financial difficulties. She's now pregnant again and still having financial difficulties, and has chosen not to place with a relative this time. Birth mother's brother has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD affects mainly males (1 in 3500) and birth mother is carrying a male. Birth Mother is receiving prenatal care and has Medicaid. Fees $20,320 (Includes finalization and termination of parental rights)
